Some of the NCDDP terms have attributes attached. A few weeks ago I asked the NCDDP team for a naming convention to ensure the attributes have the same name in all systems. I have suggested that the NCDDP term should form the first part of the ful attribute name, followed by an underscore, followed by the (short) attribute name.
For example, the attribute Laterality of the term Diagnosis Neurovascular in the Stroke Core data set
http://www.datadictionaryadmin.scot.nhs.uk/isddd/ISD_DT_TOP_SMR.jsp?pContentID=17047&p_applic=CCC&p_service=Content.show&
would have the full name
Diagnosis Neurovascular_Laterality
The NCDDP team have agreed to consider this. Does anyone have any improvements they would like to suggest ?
Mike.
